ORDER CODES : 74VHC14M 74VHC14T Power down protection is provided on all inputs and 0 to 7V can be accepted on inputs with no regard to the supply voltage. This d evice can be used to interface 5V to 3V. Pin configuration and function are the same as those of the VHC04 but the VHC14 has hysteresis. This together with its schmitt trigger function allows it to be used on line receivers with slow rise/fall input segnals. All inputs and outputs are equipped with protection circuits against s tatic discharge, giving them 2KV ESD immunity and transient excess voltage.

DESCRIPTION The 74VHC14 is an advanced high-speed CMOS HEX SCHMITT INVERTER fabricated with sub-micron silicon gate and double-layer metal wiring C2MOS technolog y. I t has similar high speed performance of equivalent Bipolar Schottky TTL combined with tru e CMOS low power dissipation. The internal circuit is composed of 3 stages including buffer output, which enables high noise immunity and stable output.
