Based on the HSC08 core, the MC9S08SU MCU achieves high-performance while maintaining low cost using the enhanced S08L central processor unit with 3-phase MOSFET pre-drivers unit that supports 3 high-side PMOSes and 3 low-side NMOSes, amplifiers for current measurement, over current protection (OCP), and over voltage protection (OVP). The MC9S08SU MCU is offered in a compact 4mm x 4mm QFN-24 package. The small size and reduced number of required components of the MC9S08SU makes it ideal for space-constrained applications, such as power tools, drones, and robotics.

40 MHz S08L Based Microcontroller MC9S08SU16 and MC9S08SU8 are low-cost, high-performance and high integration UHV HCS08 8-bit microcontroller units (MCU). It uses the enhanced S08L central processor unit with 3phase MOSFET pre-drivers unit which supports 3 high-side PMOSes and 3 low-side NMOSes, amplifiers for current measurement, OCP (over current protection) and OVP (over voltage protection). It is put into 4mm 24-pin QFN package, targeting drone electrical speed controller, low power motor control, small form cooling fan control and portable tools.
