    Bsquare Reports Inducement Grants Under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5635(c)(4)

    BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bsquare today reported two grants under its 2011 Inducement Award Plan to Peter Biere, who joined Bsquare as its Chief Financial Officer effective December 30, 2016.

    The grants are a non-qualified stock option to purchase 100,000 shares of Bsquare common stock and a grant of 7,500 restricted stock units, each with a grant date of December 30, 2016. The options vest as to 25% of the underlying shares on the first anniversary of the grant date, with the balance vesting in equal monthly installments for three years thereafter, subject to Mr. Biere's continued service relationship with Bsquare. The option exercise price is $5.85 per share, which was the closing price of Bsquare's common stock on the grant date. The restricted stock units vest as to 25% of the underlying shares on the first anniversary of the grant date, with the balance vesting in equal quarterly installments for three years thereafter, subject to Mr. Biere's continued service relationship with Bsquare.

    The grants were approved by the Bsquare Board of Directors on December 4, 2016, including a majority of its independent directors. In accordance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), the grants were made as an inducement material to Mr. Biere's entering into an employment relationship with Bsquare.

    AT&T Prepared as Severe Weather Approaches California

    SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As a "once-in-a-decade" storm prepares to hit California this weekend, AT&T* has activated storm preparedness protocols to minimize the impact on our customers.

    Among our preparations:

    --  We top off fuel at generators and test high-capacity back-up batteries
    at cell sites.
    --  We install "Quick Connect Generator Plugs" at many of our cell sites and
    stage additional emergency response equipment in strategic locations.
    --  We continue to enhance our network in storm-prone areas by installing
    more back-up and permanent generators at critical cell sites.
    

    "We know our customers rely on us, particularly during extreme weather conditions like we are expecting over the weekend," said Ken McNeely, president, AT&T California. "That's why we perform extensive drills and simulations throughout the year. We do all we can to have our networks prepared when severe weather strikes."

    Just as we prepare our networks and personnel, we encourage residents and small businesses to consider the following recommendations:

    --  Keep your wireless phone batteries charged at all times. Have an
    alternate plan to recharge your battery in case of a power outage.
    Consider using your car charger for your device or having extra phone
    batteries on hand. You can also protect your home phone, internet, and
    mobile devices from power outages with a battery backup plan.
    --  Keep your wireless phone dry. The biggest threat to your device during
    storms is water, so keep your equipment safe from the elements. Store it
    in a baggie or some other type of protective covering.
    --  Have a family communication plan in place. Designate someone out of the
    area as a central contact, and make certain that all family members know
    who to contact if case of separation. Most importantly, practice your
    emergency plan in advance.
    --  Program all of your emergency contact numbers and e-mail addresses into
    your phone. Numbers should include the police department, fire station
    and hospital, as well as your family members.
    --  Forward your home number to your wireless number in the event of an
    evacuation. Because call forwarding happens out of the telephone central
    office, your landline phone will get incoming calls even if your local
    telephone service is inoperable at your home. In the unlikely event that
    the central office is not operational, services such as Voicemail, Call
    Forwarding, Remote Access call forwarding and call forwarding busy
    line/don't answer may be useful.
    --  Track the storm and access weather information on your wireless device.
    Many homes lose power during severe weather. If you have a wireless
    device that provides access to the Internet, you can keep updated with
    local radar and severe weather alerts
    --  Camera phones provide assistance. If you have a camera phone, take,
    store and send photos -- even video clips -- of damaged property to your
    insurance company from your device.
    --  Take advantage of location-based mapping technology.  Services such as
    AT&T Navigator and AT&T FamilyMap can help you seek evacuation routes or
    avoid traffic congestion from downed trees or power lines. You can also
    track a family member's wireless device in case you get separated.
    

    Maximizing Service During and After Severe Weather:

    --  Try text messaging. During an emergency, texts may go through more
    quickly than voice calls because they require fewer network resources.
    All of our wireless devices are text messaging capable. Depending on
    your text or data plan, additional charges may apply.
    --  Prepare for high call volume. During an emergency, many people try to
    use their phones at the same time. The increased volume may create
    network congestion, leading to "fast busy" signals on your wireless
    phone or a slow dial tone on your landline phone. If this happens, hang
    up, wait several seconds and then try the call again. This allows your
    original call data to clear the network before you try again.
    --  Keep non-emergency calls to a minimum. And limit your calls to the most
    important ones. If there is severe weather, chances are many people will
    be attempting to place calls to loved ones, friends and business
    associates.
    

    Small Business Tips:

    --  Set up a call-forwarding service to a predetermined backup location. Set
    up a single or multiple hotline number(s) for employees, employees'
    families, customers and partners, as appropriate, to call so all parties
    know about the business situation and emergency plan. For this to be
    most effective, maintain an updated contact list, including mobile and
    home phone numbers and e-mail addresses, for all employees.
    --  Protect hardware/software/data records/employee records, etc. Routinely
    back up files to an off-site location. Use a generator to supply backup
    power to vital computer hardware and other mission-critical equipment.
    Prearrange the replacement of damaged hardware with vendors to ensure
    quick business recovery.
    --  Outline detailed plans for evacuation and shelter-in-place plans.
    Practice these plans (employee training, etc.). Establish a backup
    location for your business and meeting place for all employees.
    
    --  Assemble a crisis-management team and coordinate efforts with
    neighboring businesses and building management. Be aware that disasters
    affecting your suppliers also affect your business. Outline a plan for
    supply chain continuity for business essentials.

    AT&T Prepared as Winter Storm Approaches Virginia

    RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* has an arsenal of disaster response equipment and personnel on standby as a major winter storm nears. We're ready to respond quickly.

    We've activated our storm preparedness process as we closely monitor the severe winter weather expected to impact Virginia over the weekend. Among our preparations, we're topping off fuel at generators positioned and installed and we've tested high-capacity back-up batteries at cell sites. We've also installed "Quick Connect Generator Plugs" at many of our cell sites and staged additional emergency response equipment in strategic locations.     AT&T Prepared as Winter Storm Approaches North Carolina

    CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* has an arsenal of disaster response equipment and personnel on standby as a major winter storm nears. We're ready to respond quickly.

    We've activated our storm preparedness process as we closely monitor the severe winter weather expected to impact North Carolina over the weekend. Among our preparations, we're topping off fuel at generators positioned and installed and we've tested high-capacity back-up batteries at cell sites. We've also installed "Quick Connect Generator Plugs" at many of our cell sites and staged additional emergency response equipment in strategic locations. Our national reliability center will be monitoring outages for quick action.

    We have continued to enhance our network in storm-prone areas by installing more back-up and permanent generators at critical cell sites. We've been switching facilities, locating critical equipment in less vulnerable areas and upgrading critical electronics above expected flood levels.

    --  Keep your wireless phone batteries charged at all times. Have an
    alternate plan to recharge your battery in case of a power outage.
    Consider using your car charger for your device or having extra phone

    --  Keep your wireless phone dry. The biggest threat to your device during
    storms is water, so keep your equipment safe from the elements. Store it
    in a baggie or some other type of protective covering.
    --  Have a family communication plan in place. Designate someone out of the
    area as a central contact, and make certain that all family members know
    who to contact in case of separation. Most importantly, practice your
    emergency plan in advance.
    --  Program all of your emergency contact numbers and e-mail addresses into
    your phone. Numbers should include the police department, fire station
    and hospital, as well as your family members.
    --  Forward your home number to your wireless number in the event of an
    evacuation. Because call forwarding happens out of the telephone central
    office, your landline phone will get incoming calls even if your local

    the central office is not operational, services such as Voicemail, Call
    Forwarding, Remote Access call forwarding and call forwarding busy
    line/don't answer may be useful.
    --  Track the storm and access weather information on your wireless device.
    Many homes lose power during severe weather. If you have a wireless
    device that provides access to the Internet, you can keep updated with
    local radar and severe weather alerts.
    --  Camera phones provide assistance. If you have a camera phone, take,
    store and send photos -- even video clips -- of damaged property to your
    insurance company from your device.
    --  Take advantage of location-based mapping technology.  Services such as
    AT&T Navigator and AT&T FamilyMap can help you seek evacuation routes or
    avoid traffic congestion from downed trees or power lines. You can also
    track a family member's wireless device in case you get separated.
    

    Maximizing Service During and After a Snowstorm:

    --  Try text messaging. During an emergency, texts may go through more
    quickly than voice calls because they require fewer network resources.
    All of our wireless devices are text messaging capable. Depending on
    your text or data plan, additional charges may apply.
    --  Prepare for high call volume. During an emergency, many people try to
    use their phones at the same time. The increased volume may create
    network congestion, leading to "fast busy" signals on your wireless
    phone or a slow dial tone on your landline phone. If this happens, hang
    up, wait several seconds and then try the call again. This allows your
    original call data to clear the network before you try again.
    --  Keep non-emergency calls to a minimum. And limit your calls to the most
    important ones. If there is severe weather, chances are many people will

    quick business recovery.

    neighboring businesses and building management. Be aware that disasters

    COPsync Announces $1.15 Million Registered Direct Offering

    DALLAS, Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- COPsync, Inc. announced that it has entered into securities purchase agreements with certain accredited investors providing for the purchase and sale of 1,772,614 shares of common stock in a registered direct offering. In a concurrent private placement, COPsync has agreed to sell Class A Warrants to purchase up to 1,772,614 shares of common stock with an exercise price of $1.03 per share and Class B Warrants to purchase up to 1,772,614 shares of common stock with an exercise price of $1.03 per share. The combined purchase price for one registered share of common stock, one unregistered Class A Warrant and one unregistered Class B warrant is $0.65. The Class A Warrants and Class B Warrants will be exercisable beginning six months following the closing date of the private placement. It included a representative sample of 2,391 hiring managers and human resources professionals across industries and company sizes.

    "Three in four employers reported that they are in a better financial position than they were a year ago, which is instilling more confidence in adding people to their payrolls," said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder and co-author of The Talent Equation. "Following a divisive election season, employers are entering the New Year with a watchful, yet optimistic approach. One of the key challenges for employers will be bridging the talent gaps within their own organizations by either offering better wages or by helping to reskill and upskill workers."

    Trump Administration's Impact on Jobs
    When asked for their opinion on how the Trump administration will impact hiring in 2017, 23 percent of employers said the new administration would increase jobs while 27 anticipated no impact. Seven percent said they expect jobs to decrease while 43 percent were undecided.

    Full-time and Part-time, Permanent Hiring
    The amount of employers planning to hire full-time, permanent staff in the New Year increased four percentage points from 36 percent in 2016 to 40 percent in 2017. Employers in information technology were the most likely to say they were adding new employees at 56 percent, a notable 12 percentage point gain over the prior year.

    Eight percent of employers across industries expect a decline in staff levels in 2017, an improvement from 10 percent last year. Forty-four percent anticipated no change while 9 percent were unsure.

    In terms of part-time employment, 30 percent of employers expect to increase their number of part-time, permanent employees in 2017, up from 26 percent last year.

    Temporary and Contract Hiring
    The demand for temporary labor will continue to be strong as employers strive to have more flexibility in their staff levels. Fifty-one percent of employers plan to hire temporary or contract workers in 2017, an increase from 47 percent last year. Sixty-three percent of employers plan to transition some temporary or contract workers into permanent roles in 2017, up from 58 percent last year.

    Five Trends to Watch in the New Year
    Among key trends shaping the job seeker experience in the coming year are:

    1. Companies will be under pressure to offer higher pay - Two-thirds of
    employers (66 percent) plan to increase salaries on initial job offers;
    30 percent of all employers will increase it by 5 percent or more. Nearly
    half (47 percent) of employers expect to increase the minimum wage at
    their organizations and, of these employers, 44 percent will increase it
    by $3 or more; 20 percent will increase it by $5 or more.
    2. Job seekers will need to emphasize their soft skills -When evaluating who
    they will hire in 2017, 62 percent of employers rated the candidate's
    soft skills as very important (ie, skills associated with one's
    personality such as positive attitude, team-oriented or dependable).
    3. Employers will communicate with candidates via text - 41 percent of
    employers said they will follow a recent trend and reach out to
    candidates via text messages to schedule interviews.
    4. Workers in general will need to become more savvy on social media - 63
    percent of employers said they expect employees across job functions to
    have some experience with social media.
    5. More companies will be open to hiring workers who are short on experience
    - 55 percent of employers said they will train workers who don't have
    experience in their field and hire them in 2017.
    

    Hot Areas for Hiring
    Of employers who plan to increase their number of full-time, permanent employees in the New Year, the top five areas they will be recruiting for include:

    --  Information Technology - 28 percent
    --  Customer Service - 27 percent
    --  Production - 26 percent
    --  Sales - 25 percent
    --  Administrative - 24 percent
    

    Hiring by Region
    Employers in the West expressed the most confidence in their hiring outlook for the next 12 months with 44 percent planning to hire full-time, permanent employees and 60 percent planning to hire temporary or contract workers. The Northeast experienced the largest year-over-year gains with 42 percent hiring full-time, permanent staff - up from 30 percent last year - and 55 percent hiring temporary or contract workers - up from 42 percent last year. The South is showing a 3 percentage point increase over 2016 for both permanent and temporary hiring while the Midwest is showing little change.

    This survey was conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Poll on behalf of CareerBuilder among 2,392 hiring and human resource managers ages 18 and over (employed full-time, not self-employed, non-government) between November 16 and December 6, 2016. Percentages for some questions are based on a subset, based on their responses to certain questions. With a pure probability sample of 2,392, one could say with a 95 percent probability that the overall results have a sampling error of +/- 2.0 percentage points. Sampling error for data from sub-samples is higher and varies.

    Digital instrument clusters allow automakers to present new menus and information to drivers with over-the-air software updates, preventing clusters from becoming static and outdated throughout the vehicle's life cycle.
