    (Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20111107/MM01969LOGO )

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar reunites Freeman with Drew Fellman, who also wrote and produced the 2011 IMAX 3D documentary Born to Be Wild 3D, and director David Douglas, who served as director of photography on that film.

"I am thrilled to continue my partnership with IMAX and Warner Bros.," said writer/producer Drew Fellman. "Lemurs are amazing critters and one of the most canny survivors in the history of life on earth. Their incredible story belongs on the giant screen and deserves to be told by such a powerful and distinctive voice as Morgan Freeman's."

Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp, said, "Island of Lemurs: Madagascar brings IMAX 3D cameras to perhaps the most compelling region for wildlife on the planet, capturing this environment in the clearest, most vibrant way possible. As proven with IMAX documentaries such as Born to Be Wild 3D, Morgan Freeman is the perfect guide to lead moviegoers through this one-of-a-kind experience."

Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. Pictures President of Domestic Distribution stated, "We are excited to reteam with IMAX on this remarkable expedition to the unique land of Madagascar and discover more about its most fascinating indigenous residents, the lemurs."

One of today's most respected and prolific actors, Morgan Freeman won an Academy Award((R)) for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Clint Eastwood's Best Picture winner Million Dollar Baby. Freeman has earned four additional Oscar((R)) nominations, the latest for his portrayal of Nelson Mandela in Eastwood's Invictus. He was previously Oscar((R))-nominated for his work in The Shawshank Redemption; Driving Miss Daisy, for which he won a Golden Globe; and Street Smart. His myriad credits encompass more than 80 films over five decades, only recently including Now You See Me, Oblivion, the Dark Knight trilogy, Dolphin Tale, and Red. He has also lent his recognizable voice to such titles as War of the Worlds, Born to Be Wild 3D, and the Oscar((R))-winning documentary March of the Penguins. In 2012, he was the recipient of the HFPA's Cecil B. DeMille Award for his outstanding contributions to film.

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar features trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright, an expert on lemurs and the wildlife of Madagascar. Wright is also a Professor of Anthropology at Stony Brook University and Founder of Centre ValBio, a research campus in the rainforest of Madagascar.

Implant Sciences' QS-B220 Explosives Trace Detector Receives STAC Certification in FranceHighly Respected Certification Opens Large Market Opportunity in Airport Screening Throughout Europe

WILMINGTON, Mass., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets, announced today that its TSA-approved QS-B220 desktop explosives trace detector (ETD) has been certified by Service Technique de l'Aviation Civile (STAC) in France. The QS-B220 is now certified for purchase and deployment to screen passengers, cargo, cabins, and baggage for explosives in airports throughout France. This marks the second major regulatory success for the QS-B220 following its approval by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for air cargo screening in January 2013.

    (Photo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20131001/NY89580)

"This is a very significant achievement and milestone for Implant Sciences. STAC is a highly respected certification organization, and becoming certified opens the large French aviation market to us. A number of other governments including French territories, several European Union member nations, and a select number of countries around the world look to STAC certification in their purchasing decisions," stated Implant Sciences' President and CEO, Glenn Bolduc. "This is another step in our journey towards increasing our global market share and further establishing Implant Sciences as one of the major ETD manufacturers in the world."

"As a STAC-certified ETD with a non-radioactive source, the QS-B220 proves again that Implant Sciences is the new standard in trace detection," commented Darryl Jones, Implant Sciences' Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Regulations on equipment containing radioactive materials are much stricter in France and other European nations than in the U.S., and we believe that there is a significant market opportunity for us with airports and other security customers that may have been reluctant to purchase competing ETD devices with a radioactive ion source."

About the QS-B220 Desktop Explosives Trace Detector

The QS-B220 uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to rapidly detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives. With significantly lower maintenance requirements than competing systems, the QS-B220 can be deployed for a much lower total cost of ownership than other approved products. Featuring a radioactive material-free design, push-button maintenance and diagnostics, and a patented inCal(TM) internal automatic calibration system, the QS-B220 brings new levels of performance and convenience to desktop trace detection users with unsurpassed ease of use.

    About Implant Sciences

Implant Sciences is the leader in next generation Explosives Trace Detection (ETD) technology. In January 2013, the Company became only the third ETD manufacturer, and the sole American-owned company, to currently have product approval from the US Transportation Security Administration. Implant Sciences has developed proprietary technologies used in its commercial explosives and drugs trace detection systems, which ship to a growing number of locations domestically and internationally. Implant Sciences' QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detector has received Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology Designation and, in addition to receiving TSA approval for air cargo screening, the Company's QS-B220 has also received a Developmental Testing & Evaluation (DT&E) Designation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act). Flextronics Introduces Lighting Solutions And Expands Energy Portfolio To Help OEMs Address Shifting MarketsCompany enables original equipment manufacturers, commercial and industrial customers to improve cash flow, accelerate time to market and meet energy efficiency targets globally

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- During a webinar hosted by the Company, Flextronics today announced an expansion of its portfolio of energy infrastructure solutions and services that will help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) address regional shifts in the energy market by developing and delivering products to market faster, enhancing their regional market reach, and freeing up cash flow by leveraging Flextronics' global capabilities. Flextronics also introduced a portfolio of commercial and industrial lighting solutions and services that will help enable businesses and property managers, who operate mega square foot facilities, to reduce both their procurement and utility costs as they meet corporate and government energy efficiency targets.

According to a 2012 McKinsey & Company report, the lighting market is at an inflection point as LED lighting is expected to grow 40% annually and become over 65% of the total lighting market by 2020. Flextronics has responded to this market need by introducing Flextronics Lighting Solutions, a portfolio of energy efficient lighting solutions for commercial and industrial applications. These include applications for high and low bays, offices, outdoors and lighting controls. It also includes a full set of lighting services such as lighting audits, order fulfillment, incentive management that can be offered directly to customers or with their preferred partners.

"Flextronics is proud to help OEMs respond to regional growth opportunities from Smart Grid and LED lighting, while improving their cash flow and reducing the time to bring new solutions to market. In addition to OEMs, we are now helping commercial and industrial businesses lower their utility bills with energy efficient lighting solutions," said Jeannine Sargent, president, Energy at Flextronics.

The energy industry is faced with an aging energy infrastructure, increasing government regulations on emissions and renewable energy mix, as well as customer initiatives to improve energy efficiency and lower costs. In fact, the European Commission is targeting a 20% increase in energy efficiency, as well as 20% of all energy consumed to be from renewable sources, by the year 2020. Such initiatives are driving the need for smart and clean energy solutions with increasing power electronic and digital communication capabilities that are interoperable, cost effective and highly reliable.

Darien Spencer, vice president at Enphase Energy, a Flextronics customer, stated, "Enphase Energy, a leading global technology and solution provider in the solar power generation industry, develops and delivers industry leading microinverter systems, which allow customers to maximize return on their solar investment." He added, "Aligning with partners like Flextronics enables efficient global manufacturing, distribution and supply chain execution, which helps meet customers' needs and extend our global footprint."

For many years, Flextronics has been helping manufacturers of solar modules, advanced meter infrastructure, and LED lamps cost effectively build and deliver products to their customers. The solutions announced today further expand Flextronics' scope and depth of capabilities to provide a suite of supply chain and technology solutions across the exploration, generation, distribution, and consumption of energy.

According to John Novak, vice president, Global Supply Chain at Sensus, a Flextronics customer, "Sensus technologies enable the intelligent use and conservation of water and energy, improve operations and reduce environmental impact. Our development in smart grid technology is transforming the relationship between utilities and consumers. As a valued partner for many years, Flextronics' supply chain expertise and extensive manufacturing capabilities has enabled Sensus to leverage their services to be more competitive in our market space of supplying mission critical AMI and Metrology systems to utility providers."

Implant Sciences' QS-B220 Explosives Trace Detector Receives STAC Certification in France

    - Highly Respected Certification Opens Large Market Opportunity in Airport Screening Throughout Europe

WILMINGTON, Massachusetts, Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Implant Sciences Corporation [http://www.implantsciences.com/] (OTCQB: IMSC [http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=88760&p=irol-irhome]), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets, announced today that its TSA-approved QS-B220 [http://www.implantsciences.com/QS_B220.html] desktop explosives trace detector (ETD) has been certified by Service Technique de l'Aviation Civile (STAC) [http://www.stac.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/] in France. The QS-B220 is now certified for purchase and deployment to screen passengers, cargo, cabins, and baggage for explosives in airports throughout France. This marks the second major regulatory success for the QS-B220 following its approval [http://www.implantsciences.com/aircargo.html] by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for air cargo screening in January 2013.

    (Photo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20131001/NY89580 [http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20131001/NY89580])

The QS-B220 [http://ctt.marketwire.com/?release=1021901&id=3044401&type=1&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.implantsciences.com%2fQS_B220.html] uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to rapidly detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.

Evertz - Leader in Video Launches the EXE-VSR40 with 46Tb/s Ethernet Switching Capacity

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Evertz Technologies , industry leader in video network innovation, today announced the launch of Evertz EXE Video Service Routing Platform. Featuring over 46 Tb/s of switching capacity (23Tb/s full duplex, supporting 2304 10GE ports or 192 100GE ports) per single chassis, the Evertz EXE is by far the most powerful modern SDN switching platform.

    (Photo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20131001/NY89765 )

In the emerging world with total network connectivity, annual traffic is projected to exceed 1 zettabyte annually by 2017 and video will account for over 65%((1) )of the traffic, therefore it is natural for the leaders in video to drive innovation.

With over 1700 SDN video switch fabrics installed and in operation amongst the worlds' largest sports, movie and prime time content creators, Evertz has the experience and understands the performance requirements needed to handle service provider video traffic today and the vast growth of tomorrow.

Evertz SDVN control allows service providers to unleash the true potential of their 10GbE /100GbE IP-Ethernet network and now the EXE VSR Platform, through its intelligent utilization of extreme bandwidth switching, will allow the service operator to harness the video tsunami emerging on the horizon.

"Due to the nature of video, a CLEAN SLATE approach for the data plane must be taken, much as it has for the control plane, as witnessed by the intense activity in the area of SDN control. However, independent development of either is not enough. A merged, cohesive and temporally unified field of operation is essential. Fundamental operations specific to video packet signal switching are essential, in addition to bandwidth, SDN orchestration, multi-level scaling, and encapsulation techniques for labeled tunnel scale up are vital to video," said Rakesh Patel CTO of Evertz Technologies Limited.

At the core of Evertz' SDVN is their expertise and understanding of the true nature of video in processing, transport and manipulation, and how and where it differs from IT based transport. At the physical layer, Evertz SDVN solution is underpinned by its array of IP Gateway devices (IPG), High Density Media Gateway (MG) and IPX/EXE Tb/s 10GbE ported Switch Fabrics and network attached video transformation platforms.

As global IP traffic continues to grow, increasingly driven by video, the metro edge and core bandwidth requirements will be pushed to their limit and not only in the traditional sense. With video being the most challenging form of data to transport, with the pressures of low latency, and no time to retransmit data, the technical challenges placed on core network infrastructure are an order magnitude more difficult than those of today.

"The opportunity to innovate is tremendous, and Evertz is committed to add immense value. We were there at the onset of the transition to High Definition Television and have helped shaped the transition and the industry. We expect to do the same in this space," said Romolo Magarelli President and CEO of Evertz Technologies Limited.

With the biggest names in video using Evertz SDN solutions and with over 860 Tb/s of video bandwidth currently under management across over 500 installations worldwide, Evertz is The Solution wherever video is Priority 1.

    MINNEAPOLIS and REHOVOT, Israel, October 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

    - Prof. Neri Oxman's designed 'Pneuma 2' fashion design piece, 3D printed by Stratasys, also set to feature - 3D: Printing the Future' exhibition opens at the Science Museum on October 9th 2013

Stratasys Ltd [http://www.stratasys.com ]. , a manufacturer of 3D printers and materials for personal use, prototyping and production, has today announced that the London Science Museum will feature 150 3D printed miniature models of visitors in its new exhibition, '3D: Printing the Future.' [http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/plan_your_visit/exhibitions/3d_printing_the_future.aspx ] Produced using a number of Stratasys FDM 3D printers, the small figurines will be on display October 9th 2013 - February 10th 2014.

Featuring contributions from Stratasys UK distributor Laser Lines Ltd [http://www.laserlines.co.uk ], the exhibition will explore the process of 3D printing, from 3D scanning right through to the production of 3D models. The 150 statuettes were created from the scans of a selection of visitors who took part in the 3D scanning workshops run at the Museum by Digital Native Academy throughout August. The DNA team provided Laser Lines with the final 3D scan files required to 3D print the models, which range in height from 5 to 20cm. In total, the exhibition will boast 700 3D printed objects produced by a range of materials including nylon, titanium, sandstone, and many more.

Pippa Hough, Content Developer, Science Museum, said, "3D printing is a hot topic right now and our exhibition aims to shine a light on the latest developments and discuss where the technology may take us in future.

"By displaying models of people in the exhibition, we aim to create a deeper engagement with our visitors. Those who were scanned can feel a physical connection with the exhibition. I hope to see lots of visitors trying to spot themselves once the exhibition has launched."

According to Hough, the exhibition aims to engage visitors in the latest issues from the world of science and technology through a program of exhibitions and holiday events.

Jeryl Adcock, Marketing and Administration Manager at Laser Lines, added: "We are extremely proud to be supporting the Science Museum with this project. As the Museum asked us to produce a range of colored models, including orange, green, red and blue, we recommended Stratasys ABS Plus 3D printing material. It comes in a range of colors, but most importantly we expect it to be able to withstand constant interaction with the public, while maintaining fine detail."

    Iconic Fashion Piece

The Museum, which has around 3 million visitors a year, will also feature 'Pneuma 2,' a stunning 3D printed sculpture inspired by the human lung designed by the widely acclaimed Professor Neri Oxman. The intricate piece combines a number of different material properties, 3D printed with Stratasys' unique PolyJet technology which enables designers to 3D print multiple materials simultaneously in a single model without post-assembly.

The sculpture is one of 18 'beings' featured in Oxman's collection and is inspired by Jorge Luis Borges' Book, 'Imaginary Beings,' an encyclopedia of imaginative zoology that contains descriptions of 120 mythical beasts from folklore and literature. Each 'being' in this series personifies a particular human function - breathing in the case of 'Pneuma 2'. The 18 pieces were first exhibited at the world famous Centre Pompidou, as part of the 'Multiversites Creatives' exhibition, May - August, 2012.

"It is gratifying to see 3D printing featured so prominently by one of the world's great science museums. Everyday we are discovering exciting new applications for 3D printing, touching virtually every discipline and industry, from art and fashion to medicine, architecture and manufacturing," concluded Arita Mattsoff, VP Marketing, Stratasys. "We hope that many visitors will take advantage of this opportunity to experience this amazing technology which is not yet leveraged to its full potential."

The exhibition is free to visitors and open to the public from Wednesday, October 9th.

More information about the exhibitions is available on: http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/plan_your_visit/exhibitions/3d_printing_the_future.aspx .

LightPath Technologies Adding Molding Capacity to Accommodate Increasing Market DemandInvesting in China Facilities to Increase Capacity Over 45%

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LightPath Technologies, Inc. ("LightPath," the "Company" or "we"), a leading vertically integrated global manufacturer and distributor of proprietary optical components and high-level assemblies, announced today that in response to accelerating market demand for its molded aspheric lenses it is building 12 new molding stations for its China operations. This investment will result in an increase in capacity and production capability of over 45%.

    (Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20130122/FL45558LOGO )

Demand for LightPath's aspheric lenses has increased in both its North American and Asian sales regions. The Company manufactures products to meet this demand in both its US and China operations. End product markets driving the increased demand for aspheric lenses include laser tools, telecommunications, digital projectors, industrial equipment, medical instruments and increasing use of green laser diodes. LightPath anticipates this increase in demand will phase in over the next three quarters. Given the phase in of this new business and the fact that it will be high-volume low-cost products driving this increase, the Company expects to see a greater than 15% increase in annualized revenues.

LightPath Chief Executive Officer Jim Gaynor said, "It is significant to note that the product demand we are seeing is broad based across several of our larger market segments. It is not limited to any specific industry, market or geographic location. As we have stated previously this growth is driven by four market themes, cloud computing, adoption of digital technology for video distribution, mobile internet demand and machine to machine communication which all require more bandwidth and thus expansion of optical networks. These market drivers combined with the excellent value proposition that we bring to our customers with competitive prices and superior quality is the reason we believe we are experiencing this increase in demand and why we have confidence in our continued growth going forward."

    About LightPath Technologies:

    (Photo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20131001/643232-c )

Latest Synopsys Virtualizer Release Accelerates Creation and Deployment of VDKs for Software DevelopmentNew TLM Subsystem Flow and Eclipse IDE Integration Speed VDK Availability for Software Developers

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

    Highlights:

-- New transaction-level model subsystem encapsulation enables better
collaboration across teams, companies and geographies modeling complex
    SoCs
-- Ability to enable and disable components of the modeled design lets
users optimize simulation performance during software debugging
-- Plug-and-play Eclipse IDE support delivers tight integration with
familiar software debuggers, improving software development productivity
    and reducing ramp-up time

Synopsys, Inc. , a global leader providing software, IP and services used to accelerate innovation in chips and electronic systems, today announced availability of the latest release of its Virtualizer(TM) tool set for creating Virtualizer Development Kits (VDKs), software development kits which use virtual prototypes to accelerate embedded software development, debugging and optimization. The new Virtualizer release speeds VDK development by enabling more efficient collaboration among modeling teams, along with easier management and exchange of virtual prototypes for complex designs. In addition, this latest version of Synopsys Virtualizer seamlessly integrates with the Eclipse standard for out-of-the-box support with existing software debuggers based on the Eclipse IDE, such as the ARM(R) DS-5(TM) toolchain. The plug-and-play nature of the Eclipse framework preserves users' familiarity with existing debug environments while increasing overall development productivity to benefit from VDKs for early software development up to 12 months before hardware availability.

"Early software development on virtual prototypes has become critical to meet the time-to-market requirements of modern SoC designs," said Hobson Bullman, deputy general manager, systems design division, ARM. "The VDK Eclipse integration with ARM DS-5 toolchain provides detailed visibility about the status of virtual prototypes. This helps software developers accelerate the debugging of complex software ahead of silicon availability."

The Virtualizer tool set is a suite of modular tools and technologies for the development and deployment of virtual prototypes. Virtualizer addresses the increasing software complexity associated with advanced semiconductor development by enabling the efficient and early creation of SystemC-based transaction-level models (TLMs) of subsystems, as well as the assembly of TLMs into virtual prototypes representing complete systems up to a year before silicon is available.

"Using Virtualizer, we can build a tighter and more advanced relationship with our semiconductor and IP supply chain," said Katsuhiko Yanagisawa, manager, controller platform development V group, Fuji Xerox. "This enables us to start software development of our target platform before SoC hardware is available."

VDK developers benefit from the new subsystem flow for easier sharing of subsystems between development teams. By bringing together all pieces of a system as a single virtual prototype for their SoC, software engineers are able to increase simulation speed by disabling components not required for specific software bring-up tasks.

"Software teams are increasingly employing agile development methodologies and rely on advanced tools like VDKs to help them improve productivity and mitigate risk," said John Koeter, vice president of marketing for IP and systems at Synopsys. "With the move towards tools based on the Eclipse IDE, this latest release of Virtualizer enables creation of VDKs that fit seamlessly into existing software development environments to instantly facilitate key benefits of virtual prototypes for early software development."

Target, Lego Emerge As Sought-After Brands This Holiday SeasonAs Americans Kick Off Shopping Earlier Than Ever, Ask.com Reveals Unexpected Trends and Popular Buys for 2013

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Americans are on the hunt for holiday gifts earlier than ever in 2013, and Ask.com, the leading online brand for questions and answers, today released insight into this season's top gifts and shopping trends. The data was culled from Ask.com's 100 million monthly users, based on top trending searches and user polls, and yielded some surprising results.

As Americans gear up for the holidays, the most coveted brand appears to be the Philip Lim 3.1 Collection for Target, which emerged as the top trending retail search term on Ask.com, unexpectedly beating out the highly publicized iPhone 5 (which trailed behind at a far #2). Ask.com also found that Lego loyalty beat out Mattel, Hasbro and LeapFrog when it came to the most wanted toys this holiday season.

A still-recovering economy doesn't look as though it will put a damper on shopping this year, with more than 30 percent of Ask.com users reporting they will get a head start on purchases. At the same time, nearly the same amount (33 percent) say they plan to re-gift presents from holidays past.

Additional findings include (see further below for full methodology):

-- 40 percent of Ask.com users will avoid crowds by hitting the stores
before Black Friday, traditionally considered the official start of the
    holiday shopping season.
-- The top trending consumer electronic product on Ask.com was Apple's iPad
5, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Sony PlayStation 4, the
Microsoft Xbox One, and the Google Nexus Android Tablet.
-- Lego Mindstorms is the most popular toy among Ask.com users, with 40
percent of users selecting it over the Barbie Dreamhouse (31 percent),
LeapFrog LeapPad (16 percent) and Furby Boom (13 percent).
-- In store vs. online: East Coast shoppers like to be up close and
personal, while folks on the West Coast seem to prefer the web for their
holiday purchases. Ask.com mobile search data from East Coast locales
skewed toward brick and mortar stores and physical addresses, whereas
West Coasters more often navigated directly to online retailers. For
example, for retailers including Bed Bath & Beyond and Target, East
Coasters requested the physical store address, whereas West Coasters
more often navigated directly to the retailers' web sites.

These findings are derived from search query data and user polls featured on Ask.com, collected over a one-month period and including responses from nearly 5,000 (4,861) poll participants. Top-trending questions are derived from Ask.com's 100 million monthly users between August 28, 2013 and September 25, 2013. Trending is defined as those questions that were posed and viewed most frequently by Ask users over this time period.

Unisys Offers ITSM as a Service Globally on the Windows Azure Cloud Platform, Significantly Cutting Implementation TimeAvailability on Microsoft Windows Azure means clients can rapidly gain access to an advanced toolkit for keeping their end users productive while reducing IT support costs

BLUE BELL, Pa., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Corporation today announced that it is making its IT Service Management as a Service (ITSMaaS) solution available to clients via Microsoft's Windows Azure((TM)) cloud platform.

The Unisys ITSMaaS solution can be deployed on the global Windows Azure platform anywhere in the world.

The Unisys ITSMaaS solution provides a comprehensive, consistent and standards-based service management platform for organizations to provide critical IT support services to their employees and end users, so people get the services they need to stay productive.

Unisys ITSMaaS includes pre-built capabilities that simplify implementation. By offering Unisys ITSMaaS on Windows Azure, Unisys estimates clients can implement a full, ITIL v3-compliant solution in as few as 45 days compared with other cloud deployments, which typically take more than six months.

The Unisys solution can integrate with Microsoft System Center 2012, making it easier to manage and support devices and applications through ITIL best practices and enable ordering, provisioning, tracking and management of resources and applications residing in the cloud.

"Availability of Unisys ITSMaaS on Windows Azure means that clients can quickly gain the benefits of our solution, enabling them to jumpstart delivery of high-quality support services to their end users," said Rich Jaso, vice president, ITSM Services, Unisys.

"Windows Azure's global, reliable, and scalable cloud platform helps customers quickly deploy and manage infrastructure, applications, and services in the cloud," said Karri Alexion-Tiernan, director, Windows Azure Product Marketing, Microsoft. "Clients using Unisys ITSMaaS on Windows Azure can take advantage of the benefits of the cloud, as well as integration with Microsoft System Center."

Unisys ITSMaaS not only provides an ITIL-compliant toolset, but also includes an activation methodology and integration process to consolidate both end-user and data-center incidents into one central point of management and control. A consumer-style web portal enables end users to navigate their organization's service catalog and prioritize service delivery based on their needs.

The Unisys solution further enhances basic ITSM capabilities with a complete set of ITSM Lifecycle Services that assist clients in tackling issues such as major incident management and problem, change and IT asset management lifecycles.

The ITSMaaS solution can be used with Unisys MyWork Services(SM), which enables organizations to define distinct personas for specific groups of users based on their job profiles. The client can then determine what type of support each persona requires and deliver it on a personalized basis.
